Developmental and story editing

This service is primarily for writers who have created a draft of their story, article, or novel and want help adjusting plot lines, character development, and logical flow.

• Short story or article 1,000-7,500 words: $600
• Longer story or article 7,500-10,000 words: $900
• Novella 10,000-40,000 words: $1500
• Novel 40,000-70,000 words: $2500
• Longer novel 70,000-1000,000 words: $3500

First pass editing

For any writer who has created a draft but just isn’t happy with it. When most people say “editing”, this is what they mean! A discount of 20% is offered if I’ve done the developmental editing on the same piece already.

Fine tune editing

For writers whose work has already been developmentally and/or first pass edited, either with me or someone else. Fine tuning focuses on finding plot holes, logical gaps, faulty English patterns, and/or sequence problems. 20% off if the developmental or first pass was done by me.

Proofreading

For writers at the last step before submitting to agents or publications. Focus is on minor grammar, spelling, and usage correction. Clean copy perfected!
